Hymn: Shout to the Lord

 "Shout the Lord" is a praise song we sang in church this morning.   It was kinda fun to sing though I missed the trellos that used to accompany it in the church I learned it in.  :)  Written by Chris Tomlin, I like much of the music he has put together.

Chris Tomlin is an American contemporary christian music author. who has put together more than 14 albums of music set to Praise the Lord God. He learned guitar from his dad, and wrote his first song at age 14.

Lyrics

[Chorus]
Shout to the lord, all the earth
Let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the king;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of your name
I sing for joy at the work of your hands
Forever i'll love you, forever i'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise i have in you

[Verse]
My jesus, my savior
Lord, there is none like you;
All of my days
I want to praise
The wonders of your mighty love
My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength;
Let every breath, all that i am
Never cease to worship you

[Chorus]
Shout to the lord, all the earth
Let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the king;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of your name
I sing for joy at the work of your hands
Forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in you
