Time 4 Learning

I've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. My opinion will be entirely my own, so be sure to come back and read about my experience. Time4Learning can be used as an online homeschooling curriculum, afterschool tutorial or a summer skill builder. Find out how to write your own curriculum review for Time4Learning.

REVIEW

The lad enjoys this program for the most part. He finds it fun, and relatively easy to do.

What he doesn't like is the constant repetition of do this and then that. He likes..."MOMMY! I already know what they want me to do! Why do they keep telling me? Don't they know that I'm five and I know how to listen already?" A new one I heard today was "why do they have to show me? I know what to do!!" AND "Mommy!!! I did it right! Why did they tell me I was wrong and then do what I just did?" (my response was...probably a glitch in the computer bud - as it had done the same to me earlier).

I find the kindergarten work a bit too easy but it's hard to know what to expect each lesson and if they will hit on something that he already knows and understands. I am considering jumping up to grade 1 materials and seeing if that will offer him a bit more of a challenge.

I consider purchasing the program, but quite frankly...at $20 a month I simply can't afford it at this time. I will continue to review it and make a hopefully informed decision if I think long-term it would be of benefit to him or not.

  1. Cant wait to see what you think of Time 4 Learning! We have been using it for 3+ years now for my middle schoolers and it works well for us!
